Race Horse Studios
Designed to take full advantage of all that digital has to offer, Race Horse
Studios is a seamless combination of form and function ensuring both artist comfort
and the highest level of audio production. Conveniently located on the West Side,
we provide complete start-to-finish music production [Tracking, Mixing, and Mastering],
all aspects of post-production audio [Final Mix, Sound Design, ADR, Foley, Voice
Over, Audio Restoration, Radio Production, and Original Music] as well as 5.1 surround
production.
Duncan Macfarlane
After graduating from California Institute of the Arts Duncan secured a
position at Cherokee studios; advancing his way from assistant engineer to studio
manager. During his tenure he worked on projects ranging from Ministry to Rod Stewart.
Next, Duncan toured and/or worked as voice coach with artists including Bjork, Stone
Temple Pilots, Seal, Gwen Stefani, Hansen, and Chris Cornell while partnered with
Ron Anderson. When not on the road, Duncan continued to work as a recording engineer
and producer, founding Race Horse Studios in 1995. His credits as producer/engineer
include Goldfinger, Ten Foot Pole, V12, and Gregory Markel. Additionally, he has
engineered/mixed numerous TV commercials including Budweiser, Subaru, Toyota, Nike,
and ESPN. He also writes original music and creates sound design for feature films.
He was Post Production Supervisor for the Corbin Bernsen film, The Carpool Guy.
Currently he is Producing Big Top, a feature length film. |
